Ronald Gail Denison, 47
Ronald Gail Denison, 47 of Atlantic died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. The son of Dale Delbert and Mary Jean Reeves Denison, he was born Sept. 7, 1951, in Atlantic. He attended grade school in Anita and Cooper and graduated from Atlantic High School. He worked at Cook's Paint Store, Swenson Construction and the past 13 years for Denison Oil as a truck mechanic, until his health began to fail. He was a Harley Davidson fan and enjoyed going to Sturgis, S.D. He was baptized Nov. 11, 1951 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Anita and confirmed April 1, 1965, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Atlantic.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Jean; a brother, Roger Denison and his wife, Donna; a nephew, Kevin Denison and his wife, Denice; a niece, Kerri Denison and friend, Reggie Hawkins; tow great-nieces, Chrystal Pettinger and Cattie Brown; three great-nephews, Zachary Johnson, Alan Brown, and Spenser Hawkins; four aunts; Arlene McCuen of LeRoy, Ill.; Shirley Parmley and her husband, Charles, of Brayton; Ruth Hoyt of Siloam Springs, Ark.; and Shirley Reeves of Atlantic.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dale, April 20, 1999; two brothers, Donald in 1949 and Rodney in 1992; and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 10:30 a.m. , at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Ron Barnett officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Anita. A visitation is planned for tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic.
