Lawrence (Jake) David Jacobson was born December 30, 1894 in Chicago. He was the fourth of five children born to Nils Jacobson and Oliva Pehrson. His parents immigrated from Sweden.
Jake married Esther Lily Agnell June 11, 1925 in Chicago. They had one daughter, Joan Dale who was born April 18,1929 and died January 20,1930 from complications from pneumonia.

Jake owned and operated a filling station in Skokie, Illinois for many years. Upon retirement Jake and Esther built a lovely home in Deerfield, Illinois. They both passed away in 1981, Esther on August 17,and Jake on December 10th.
