George Francis Robison was born on August 17, 1848 in Manchester, Washtenaw County, Michigan. His parents were John Jay Robison and Altha Esther Gillet. George was educated at Grass Lake High School and University of Michigan. On August 15, 1869 he married Mary Eleanor Keeler (daughter of Peter Althouse Keeler and Selina Osborn) in Grass Lake, Jackson, Michigan. They had six children named John Keeler, Gertrude Selina, Mary Altha (Mrs. William Lionel Heap), Walter Emmet, Alice Ester, and Florence (Mrs. James G. Burns). George was first a newspaper reporter and then a lawyer. Between 1884-1888, he was the County Prosecutor for Wayne County, Michigan. On October 06, 1907 he died at his home in Detroit.
