Larry C. Adams, 74, of Bondville went to be the Lord on his birthday, at 9:30 p.m. Monday (Oct. 20, 2014) at Champaign-Urbana Nursing and Rehab, Savoy.
Larry was born Oct. 20, 1940, the oldest child of Clyde and Angeline Adams. He married Shirley Ann Hallowell on Oct. 3, 1992, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Seymour.
He attended school in Pesotum, Tolono and LaSalette Seminary in Olivet. He left school to be with his mother and siblings after his father was killed in an automobile accident.
After serving a tour in the U.S. Army, he returned to Pesotum and married Linda Ware in 1965. Two daughters were born of this union.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley; daughters, Lanette (Jack) Cunningham and Lori Wilson; stepchildren, Cheri Garrett, Brian (Terri) Hallowell and Lori Hallowell; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He also leaves siblings, Ron (Theresa) Adams, Janice (Tom) Roney, Rosalie (Lou) Fuentes and Dan (Velvet) Adams; mother-in-law, Dorothy Shirley; brother-in-law, Terry Shirley and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Marilyn Adams.
