Bonnie Frances (Acton) Martin, 80, of Hallsville, MO, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., at home.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2014, at Nilson Funeral Home (573) 474-8443 with Pastor Dennis Stuart of the Praise Assembly of God Church officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
The family invites you to join them at the Lemone Bldg. off of Hwy. OO, Hallsville, MO (Next to the Community Center).
Bonnie (Acton) Martin was born May 27, 1934, in Boone County to William Greenberry Acton and Sarah Lillian (Calvin) Acton. On February 3, 1950, she married Thomas Orville Martin and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include eight children, Vickie Pemberton and spouse Barry Pemberton of Hallsville, Mike Martin of Columbia, Richard Martin of Hallsville, Rebecca O'Neal and spouse Edward (Pete) of Hallsville, Russell Martin and spouse Connie of Hallsville, Robert Martin of Hallsville, Paul Kendrick of Fulton, Margaret Railton of Overland Park,KS; Pam Martin of Hallsville; two sisters, Betty Rippeto of Archie, MO, Shirley Whitby of Lawerenceville, Virginia; and one brother, Robert Acton of Fulton, MO; thirteen grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was also proceeded in death by her parents; six brothers; five sisters; a son Steve Martin and a granddaughter, Christi Lee Martin.
Memorial contributions are suggested to go to the Columbia Area Senior Center, 1121 Business 70 East. Central Missouri Food Bank Network, 2101 Vandiver Drive. Coyote Hill Children's Home, 9515 Coyote Hill Rd., all in Columbia, MO.
