Beaty, Shirley Davis, age 82, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died October 24, 2014. Shirley was a lifelong member of Cooks United Methodist Church. She was a 1950 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School. Shirley was an avid tennis player and UT fan and loved cruising. She was a huge basketball fan and was recently honored as “best basketball fan” by Mt. Juliet High School.
Shirley was the daughter of the late, Dolfred and Reba Cain Davis. She was also preceded in death by her son, John Davis Beaty.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Pastor Sandra Clay officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Jackson Beaty, Harold Beaty, Dennis Simms, David Simms, Mark LaRocca and Johnny Lowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Sutton and the Seekers Sunday School Class.
