WILLIAMS, VIVIAN MARIE

Vivian Marie Williams, 92, of Augusta, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999 at Augusta Medical Complex, Inc., in Augusta. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12 at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta with the Rev. Vern Bowers of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 11, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born April 25, 1907 in Leon to Charles and Anna (Sinkhorn) Cruthird. She married Homer Williams. He survives.

She grew up in Leon and graduated from the high school there. She attended Emporia State and then moved to Augusta after her marriage. She was a retired school teacher and taught in Leon, Cottonwood Falls and Augusta.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Augusta.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by Annavee Duncan of Reed Springs, Mo., Verna Deane Kriner of Phoenix, Ariz. and Charlene Sigley of Keystone Heights, Fla.; sister, Virdine Lamb of Newton; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established for the American Heart Association, the American Diabetic Association, or the Augusta elementary schools' libraies. Contributions may be left with the funeral home (El Dorado Times, October 8, 1999)
