Son of Wallace Simpson & Louise Ward Price and husband of Eunice Claudine Price.

Ward graduated from Quitman High School in 1947. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1950 and volunteered for Korea and served in the 24th Combat M.P. Company, 24th Infantry Division in 1951-1952. He worked with V-C Fertilizer in Charleston, S.C. from 1952 to 1955. Mr. Price worked for the Department of Transportation and retired in 1983 as District Estimating Engineer in Tifton, GA. He worked for Lowndes County as Asst. County Engineer, part-time from 1984 to 1989, then worked part-time as Consulting Engineer for Brooks County from 1989 to 1999.

Mr. Price served the Lord as Treasurer of Philadelphia Baptist Church from 1969 to 1999. He is now a member of Northside Baptist Church in Valdosta.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice; one son, Ward (Cathy); daughters, Serena and Maria; 12 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and one sister, Patricia. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wallace Simpson Price, Jr.; two sisters, Rebecca Louise Price and June (James) Groover.
