ABILENE - Harrison Lee Denton, 75, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Coronado Nursing Center.

Lee was born on July 29, 1939 to Mort and Alta Mary (Stallcup) Denton in Big Spring. Lee grew up in Big Spring and graduated from Big Spring High School. He worked for and retired from Cosden Refinery in Big Spring. He served in the Marine Crop reserves in Big Spring.

Lee married Tresia Mae Steiner on June 15, 1960 in Big Spring. They had three girls Tammie, Cindy Lee, and Kelley Rhea. They were married for 49 years until her passing in February of 2009.

Lee and Tresia enjoyed traveling and vacationing with the family. They were always evolved in some sort of project from picking cans up on the side of the road to traveling to estate sales.

Animals had a special place in Lee’s heart. He would never pass up an opportunity to help any type of animal. Lee’s way with animals allowed him to gain the trust of wild animals allowing him to pet deer and geese.

Lee is survived by his daughters, Tammie Jackman and husband Buck of Abilene, Kelley Williams of Lucas; sister, Judy Denton of Plano; grandchildren, Adam Cruz, Nikki Cruz, Britton Bates, Chase Williams, Hunter McCommack, and six great grandchildren.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Mort and Alta Mary Denton, wife Tresia Denton, daughter Cindy McCommack, and son in law Chuck Williams.
