Lucy DeGood, 89, of South Kansas City, Mo., passed away June 28, 2009. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Christ the King Church, 85th and Wornall Rd, Kansas City, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be at Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be given to Christ the King Church. Lucy was born Feb. 12, 1920, the daughter of Henry L. and Hazel (McManamie) Behm, in Missouri Valley, Iowa. After graduating from high school, she attended Chillicothe Business College. Following college, she moved to Kansas City where she worked as an executive secretary for Frank Paxton Lumber Company until her marriage to Jack DeGood in 1950. In 1975, they were transferred to Terre Haute, Ind., returning to Kansas City in 1988 following Jack's retirement. She was a member of Christ the King Church, Women of Christ the King, The Tabernacle Society, Ladies of Charity and St. Joseph Health Center Auxiliary. Lucille is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Laoda "Jack" C. DeGood; two sisters, Marguerite Stockstad and Regina Petersen; brother, Donald Behm. Lucille is survived by her daughter, Ann Beth Mulloy and husband Ed; son, John S.
