EVENING NEWS – 6 APRIL 1987 - Mrs. Margaret Gertrude MacGregor, 84, of North Foord, Stellarton, formerly of Big Island, died Saturday in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Bessie (Maxwell) Stewart. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a sister, Ann (Mrs. Raymond Gammon), Brookville, Ont.; two brothers, Leonard, Westville; Alexander, Toronto.
She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm; two children, Elizabeth and Stewart. The remains are resting in R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Murray's Point cemetery at a later date.
The New Glasgow Evening News, Thursday, April 16, 1987 - NEW GLASGOW - The largely attended funeral service for Mrs. Margaret G. MacGregor was held from the R.H. Porter Funeral Home on April 7. Rev. J. Donald MacKay officiated and brought words of comfort to family and friends. The choir from Westminster Church sang Will Your Anchor Hold and Safe in the Arms of Jesus, favorites of the deceased. Committal services were held and spring burial will take place in Murray Point Cemetery, Merigomish.
