David Nerion Taylor, 72, Husband of Merrinell Poston Taylor passed away Friday October 24, 2014 in Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC.

David was born in Vancouver,WA., a son of Archie Nerion and Hazel Beatty Taylor. David was retired from Precision Southeast Inc. He was a member of Johnsonville United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Johnsonville High School and the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed golfing and classic cars. He was an avid Gamecocks fan and had a great love for his family, his church, and his community.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years; children of Katy TX, and of Peachtree City, GA.; a granddaughter; grandsons; an aunt of Vancouver, WA.; and brothers-in-law.
He was predeceased by his parents, Archie and Hazel Taylor, and a sister, Ella Taylor Shewmaker.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday October 26, 2014 in the Johnsonville United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be in the Garden of Devotion cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM, October 26, 2014 at Johnsonville United Methodist Church, 865 S. Georgetown Highway Johnsonville, SC 29555.
