CATON, March 1 -

The funeral of Mrs. Gaylord Gridley was held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Caton Methodist Episcopal Church. The Rev. W. W. Kehler, pastor, officiated.

Interment was In Elmwood Cemetery, Caton.

The bearers were: Myron Gridley, Mahlon Gridley, Wilbur Gridley, Joseph Richards, Milton Smith and Henry Pock.

Mrs. Gridley who was a life long resident of Caton, died at 8:30 o'clock Sunday evening, February 24, 1929, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Gridley.

Her maiden name was Nellie C. Russell, and she was born August 2, 1868, the daughter of Chariey Bortle and Charity Bortle.

She was twice married, her first husband being George G. Willour, who died December 21, 1920. On June 25, 1924 she married to Gaylord G. Gridley.

A devoted member of the Caton Methodist Episcopal Church, she was always willing to do her part in all activities pertaining to the welfare of her neighbors and her community. Of a loving, genial and sympathetic nature, she made friends easily and received respect and love from all who knew her. She will be missed by her hosts of friends but most intensely in her family circle where her lovable traits were best known.

Surviving, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Gridley, of Caton, and Mrs. Leon Pruyne, of Lindley.
