Published in The Paducah Sun, Paducah, McCracken Co., Ky., 17 Jun 2003 - Services for Elmer A. Welch, 64, of Paducah will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Al Bremer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Mr. Welch died at 8:12 p.m. Sunday at Lourdes hospital.
He was a native of Mounds, Ill., and was a deckhand for ACBL Marineways in Illinois.
Surviving are two daughters, Theresa Jane Leeke and Shirley Jane Watson; one stepdaughter, Paula Henson; one son, Elmer W. Welch III; two sisters, Beulah Lacky and Jeanette Phillips; three brothers, Carl, Gary and Sylvester Welch; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jean Burgess Welch; and one sister. His parents were Elmer A. Welch and Laura Jenette Littleton Welch.
