John Fear died Thursday [sic--probably Tuesday], age 96, near Hartsville. Surviving are 2 sons, Ed of near Hartsville and William of west of Letts; one daughter, Mrs. Julia Holmes; one sister, Mrs. Martha Webb; 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral service was Thursday at the Hartsville Christian Church with burial at Hartsville.
