Evelyn V. Massone, 98, of Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 20, 2014. She was born Aug. 13, 1916, in Bedford, Mass., to John and Eveline Curry.
Evelyn worked as a cashier for Lucky and Safeway grocery stores in California and the Nugget in Reno for over 65 years.
Her beloved husband, Larry Massone, preceded her in death in 1997.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Dolores Massone of Mt. View, Calif. and Mary Walters of Henderson; nieces and nephews, Robin Nichols of Louisiana, Shannon Curry of Henderson, Rise' Stutsman of Las Vegas, Gregory Massone, Dolores Marie Neuner, Victoria Massone, Ronald Massone and Marilyn Massone, all of California; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; and four great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews of California.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi, 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway, Henderson. Evelyn will be sorely missed by her loving family. She will remain in our hearts forever.
