Gates - Sarah Josephine Weaver Jackson, 83, passed away at her daughter’s home near Covington, TN, Thursday, October 18, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thurman Jackson on November 24, 1997; a daughter, Linda Goad; and a grandson, Mark Goad. Funeral services will be conducted in Maranatha Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, with burial following in Woodville Cemetery. Mrs. Jackson is survived by two daughters, Evelyn London of Covington, TN and Sharon Halbrook of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren, Joy Goad, David London, Brett London, Robin Horn, and Rachel Wright; and six great-grandchildren, Jessica London, Brittany Horn, Tyler Horn, Ana Horn, Jacob London, and Joshua London. Memorials may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, October 19 from 5-8 p.m. in the Brownsville Funeral Home and Saturday, October 20 from 10:30 a.m. until service time in Maranatha Baptist Church.
