Services Saturday for L.E. Keiffer, 94-
Louie Eben Keiffer, 94, died early Thursday morning, February 11, in the Fairfax Community Hospital where he had been a patient about five weeks.
Services will be Saturday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. in the Pettijohn & Crawford Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. William Moore. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Keiffer, the son of George R. and Elizabeth Deeler Keiffer, was born October 27, 1876, near Mound City, and spent his entire life in this vicinity. He was a retired farmed.
On May 22, 1901, he was married to Miss Martha Clark, and they were the parents of eight children. Three Daughters, Marie, Lois, and Martha Lou, and an infant son preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Martha; two daughters, Mrs. Velma Wettour, Lombard, IL, and Mrs. Walter (Doris) Brown, Mound City; two sons, George and Bill Keiffer, both of Mound City; three sisters, Mrs. Inez Hollenbeck, San Diego, CA, Mrs. Alma Patterson, Alameda, CA, and Mrs. Daisy Kuhn, Akron, CO; one brother, Guy Keiffer, Akron, CO; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
