Funeral Services for J.M. Haddock, aged 81, who died at his home on West Tombigee Street, Florence, Tuesday night, following a few week’s illnesses, were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the First Methodist Church with the pastor, Arthur H. Nabors, officiating, assisted by Rev. Wh. H. Curl, of the Oakland Circuit of the Methodist Church. Interment followed in the Florence cemetery with Brown Service directing.
Mr. Haddock was a lifelong resident of the section and was widely and favorably known throughout the county. He had been a lifelong member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving is his wife, seven sons, W, A, J. T; S.W; M.R. E.O.; D.C. AND J.H. Haddock one daughter Mrs. W.C. Darby all of this section.
Active pallbearer were his grandsons, Vester, Vergil, Earl, Andrew, Leon and Lewis Haddock and Huston, and Homer Darby
