Hansford Austin, 44, died Sunday, Jyly 12 in a local hospital after an extended illness. The son of the late William and Ollie Boyd Austin, he was born in Johnson County on March 9, 1926. He was a resident of Paintsville at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife, the former Juanita Lackey; step-mother, Josie Caudill Austin; four brothers, Woodrow, Paul and Ray Austin of Paintsville and James Austin of Warsaw, Ind.; six sisters, Victoria Blevins of Warsaw, Inc,; Dimple McCarty of London, Ohio, Francis Morgan of Columbus, Ohio, and Goldie Litton, Dosha Austin and Judy Austin of Paintsville.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 14 in the Paintsville Pentacostal Church of Christ with Cline Salyers and Melvin Blantonthe officiating ministers.
