Linda Lucille Arnold, age 66, a life-long resident of Elwood, died Sunday, October 26, 2014 She was born February 18, 1948 in Elwood, the daughter of John and Gerna (Smith) Kelley. Linda was a homemaker and also worked at Fettig’s Canning (later Red Gold) as a night line supervisor for 10 years and retired in 1980. She had also formerly worked as a probation officer. Linda married Jimmy Arnold on October 5, 1968. She was a former member of the United Christian Church and was affiliated with the Family Worship Church in recent years. She was also a formerly active in the Eagles Lodge and Elwood V.F.W. with her husband; and she was in Job’s Daughters early in life. Linda was an avid Elvis Presley enthusiast and was an official judge at many Elvis competitions. She was and active political supporter – especially her son’s campaign; and enjoyed spending time at her home on Hill Lake. More than anything, Linda was devoted to her family.

Linda’s family includes 2 sons, Ron (wife Jennifer) Arnold and Shane (wife Kelly) Arnold sister, Geraldine “Babe” (husband Butch) Taylor of brother, Jim (wife Vivian) Groover 11 grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Shane, Caitlyn, Noah, Elijah, Olivia, Aiden, Isaiah, Sevannah, and Brody Arnold; a great-grandson, Kelden Arnold; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 41 years, Jimmy Arnold who died November 22, 2009; 2 brothers, John “Leo” Kelley and Ray Kelley; and sister, Garaldine Kelley.

A funeral service celebrating Linda’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Stan Alvey officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery.
