Mrs. Gertrude Patterson, age 52, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Cairo, Il., after an illness of 10 months.

She was the daughter of Horace and Ann Caldwell. She married Walter A. Patterson who survives on June 18 1905. To this union was born one son, Walter Forest Patterson, a daughter-in-law and one granddaughter Billie Ann Patterson.
She is survived by one brother Homer Caldwell of Brea, California; two sisters Mrs. Susie Vick and Mrs. Lou Alsup of Delta, Il.

Services were held under a group of maple trees in the side yard of the residence in Thebes. Rev. H.S. Smith pastor of Beech Grove church officiated.

Casket bearers were: Evelyn Wilmoth, June Clutts, Doris Gammon, Lou Anna Rhymer, Virginia Snell, and Nadine Cartner.
Flower girls were: Beatrice Rothrock, Geneva Guess, Mildred Moore, Maisie Anne Creech, Corine Waddell, Dorothy Barrett, Theleta Davis, and Virginia Wyatt.

Cairo quartet provided the music.

Interment in Thebes Cemetery with Karcher's Funeral Service in charge.
