January 25, 1883
Charley Allison, a young man well and favorably known in this city, died in St. Louis last week. His remains were brought to Mexico and interred in the new cemetery. Charley was a self made man and by his own efforts in ten years had made about $30,000 which he leaves, by a will, to his brother and sister, except $1,500, which he leaves to Miss Eva Slaughter, of Keokuk, Iowa, his betrothed, whom he would have married had he lived. His sister lives in Mexico, but it is not known where his brother is. The most of his money is invested in real estate and his affairs are all in good shape. E.D. Graham of this city, has been appointed administrator of the estate and will attend to the duties promptly.
