Dorothy Ruth (Church) Dobson Anderson, age 90, of Janesville, died Fri., Dec. 24, 2004, at Rock Haven. She was born in Janesville on Dec. 4, 1914, the daughter of Roy A. and Luella (Byram) Church, was a 1933 graduate of Janesville High School and was a life-long Janesville resident. Dorothy married Clyde Dobson in 1936. He was with General Motors as Regional Plant Car Distributor for the Great Region. He preceded her in death in 1953. She then married Vernon Anderson, Chief Timekeeper for General Motors in 1956. He preceded her in death in 1972, just two years following his retirement. Dorothy and her second husband enjoyed a number of years traveling with their Airstream to most states of the United States as well as many trips to Northern Wisconsin for Musky and Walleye. The highlight of her life was a trip abroad to Switzerland with her son and daughter-in-law from California. She was a member of First Christian Church and a past president of its Christian Women Fellowship Club which she helped organize from Ladies Aid. She also enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to several card clubs.
