In 1943 Ben ran for Senate. In 1957 Ben and 2 others discovered Hugoton Gas Field, it was the largest oil field in the world at that time. Ben was then summoned to LA to meet with oil tycoon J.Paul Getty who offered him millions,but he had to sell out his other 2 partners. He left & never looked back. Later he told his grandchild "you will be offered certain things in life, but in the end you still have to live w/ your self." Ben went on to Build Brack Oil & Brack Drilling Companies. Ben is buried at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita Kansas."

BRACK, BENJAMIN F.
Wichita - Ben F. Brack, 91, died April 16, at Wichita. He was born Aug. 4, 1892, in rural Barton County.

Area survivors include four sisters, Martha Moore and Clarinette Schneider, both of Otis, Hanna Kerbs of LaCrosse and Alta Luft of Bison.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at East Heights United
Methodist Church in Wichita with burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita.

Memorials are suggested to the church or Youthville in Newton.

Downing and Lahey Mortuary in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.
