Casper Albert Anderson was born Feb. 21, 1901 in Springfield Township of Towner County to Frank & Anna Johnson Anderson. He was raised & educated in Springfield Township & Leeds. On July 3, 1927 he married Anna Willand at Winger, Minn. The couple farmed in Springfield Township until moving into Leeds in 1963. She died on Aug. 30, 1976. He remained in Leeds until 1992, at which time he entered the Good Samaritan Center in Devils Lake.
He was a lifelong member of the Welcome Masonic Lodge of Churchs Ferry. He served on the Springfield Township Board & was a director on the Leeds Farmers Elevator Board.
Survivvors include 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Warren & Lucille Anderson & Lyle & Betty Anderson, all of Devils Lake; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Janet Ann & Al Carvell of Washburn & Janice Kay & gordon Persinger of Norton, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; & sister & brother-in-law, Dorothy & Bob Kitterman of Devils Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Lucille; & a sister, Ruby.
