Donna (Crowley) Mauro, age 45, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side. She fought brain cancer for the past 3 years with grace, dignity and humor. She was born December 16, 1968, the daughter of the late Deacon John Crowley and Suzanne (Graveline) Crowley of Southington and the loving wife of John Mauro.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her children, Joseph (Joey), Luke and Jacob (Jake) all of Southington along with her sisters, Carolyn Grieco and her husband, John of Southington; Sharon Torone and her husband, Alex of Sammamish, WA; a brother, John Crowley and his wife, Patricia of Southington; in-laws, Tony and Dollie Mauro, brother-in-law, Joe Mauro, and sister-in-law, Monica Ticino and her husband, Scott, all of Southington. Donna also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Michael, Mitchell and his wife, Susan and Melissa Zawacki, Meghan and Jonathan Torone, Jamison and Jordan Crowley and Madelyn Ticino as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many close and dear friends.

She graduated from St. Paul High School in Bristol. She was employed by ConnectiCare, where she loved the people she worked with and they were so good to her throughout her illness. A special thank you to her coworkers at ConnectiCare and her team of family and friends caring for her during her illness and for all the love and support she received. Each and every gesture did not go unnoticed by her.

Donna loved spending time at the beach by the ocean. She loved watching the New York Yankees and Miami Dolphins with her boys. She treasured the time spent with her family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and had the ability to make anyone laugh. Her blue eyes sparkled and she could light up the room when she entered. She was loved by all who knew her. She had strong faith, the will to live and an appreciation for living life to the fullest with those she loved.

Her family would like to thank the Franciscan Home and Hospice for the care and compassion they received. We would also like to thank Dr. Wylie Hosmer and the staff at the Cancer Center of Central CT for special care they have given her, We thank everyone who has contributed to Team Donna Mauro which helped her family during this most difficult time.
