Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, Monticello, MN.
"Adeline Christine Koelfgen, age 96, passed away October 3, 2014. Funeral services will be held at Elk River Lutheran Church, 729 Main Street, Elk River, MN, on Monday, October 13, 2014, at 1:00 PM Visitation with family will take place after the service. Private interment will be at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens, Burnsville, MN. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello, MN.

"Adeline was born on October 14, 1917, in Hopkins, MN, the daughter of Albert and Esther Sanderson. She came from a very large family of: seven sisters – Margie, Ethel, Dorothy, Mildred, Betty, June and Shirley; and three brothers – Charles, George and Sandy (Gordon). She was married to Alfred Westphal in May of 1943 until his passing on September 23, 1962. She remarried Ray Koelfgen until his death in 1986. She lived most of her life in Minneapolis and worked at Lifetouch for 12 years in Bloomington, MN. She moved to Big Lake in 1990 where she spent her retirement years keeping busy with gardening, sewing, baking, shopping and playing cards. She loved listening to music and going to movies. Since almost five years ago, she has resided at New River Nursing Home in Monticello, MN, where she peacefully passed away surrounded by her family, which was what she enjoyed most in her life. Adeline enjoyed her long life always being surrounded by her family.

"She was preceded in death by her husbands Alfred W. Westphal and Ray Koelfgen; six sisters; and three brothers. She is survived by sister June Bird of St. Louis Park; two daughters, Carol (Jeff) LaMont of Elk River, and Connie (Terry) Douglas of Bloomington; five granddaughters, Christine Hansen of San Diego, CA, Mishawn (Jerry) Stewart of Elk River, Marni (Lance) Helgerson of Circle Pines, Jennifer (Scott) Arnold of Prior Lake, and Justine LaMont (Brian Schmit) of Big Lake; seven great grandchildren, Candice Hansen (John Enger), Ashley (Paul) Kemmetmueller, Lindsay Hamilton, Anthony Secord, Kylea LaMont, Brian Arnold, and Reed Helgerson; and one great great grandson Jack Enger; as well as many nieces and nephews."
