Harry E. Bottomley Sr., 88, of Connellsville, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2014, at home. He was born Aug. 5, 1926, in Connellsville, a son of the late Charles and Margaret (Miner) Bottomley. Harry was a member of East Connellsville United Methodist Church. He retired from Anchor Hocking Corp. as foreman of the carton department. Harry was an Army World War II veteran and member of VFW Post 21. Harry is survived by his wife, Nada (Kelly) Bottomley; two sons, Harry E. Bottomley Jr., of Connellsville, and Robert Miller and wife, Linda, of Scottdale; two daughters, Betty Bellus and husband, William, of Connellsville, and Connie Kaylor and husband, John, of South Connellsville; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Vito C. Martucci Funeral Home, 123 S. 1st St., West Side, Connellsville, 724-628-9033. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Vito C. Martucci Funeral Home with Pastor Douglas Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park. Full military rites will be conducted at graveside by members of VFW Post 21, American Legion Post 301 and 762. In lieu of flowers, Harry's family requests donations be made to East Connellsville United Methodist Church, 109 East End Road, Connellsville, PA 15425.
