Mrs. Delphia Abbott of West Science Hill, Pulaski County, Kentucky, died at the Somerset City Hospital after an illness of several years.
She attended West Science Hill Baptist Church.
She was survived by her daughters, Mrs. Lydia Bates of Somerset, Kentucky, Mrs. Ruby Haggard of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and Mrs Maxine Kemper of Eubank, Kentucky; her son, Ray Abbott of West Science Hill, Pulaski County, Kentucky; her brother, Chester Wilson of West Science Hill, Pulaski County, Kentucky; her sisters, Mrs. Martha Owens of Decatur, Illinois, Mrs. Mary Smith of Decatur, Illinois, Mrs. Lola Abbott of Science Hill, Kentucky, Mrs. Hattie Calder of Science Hill, Kentucky, and Mrs. Minnie Shadoan of West Science Hill, Pulaski County, Kentucky; four step-daughters; four step-sons; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William S. Wilson and Isabelle (Dunsmore) Wilson; her first husband, John D. Sipple (married May 10, 1917); and her second husband, W.M. Abbott (married March 14, 1928).
Funeral services were held at the West Science Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Lloyd Sewell officiating. Farris-Morris-Hislope Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
