Steve had served briefly in the United States Navy and had worked in the heating and air conditioning business for many years. He was a member of Carraway United Methodist Church. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Claude S. Wyrick Jr., in 2000.
Steve was survived by his son, Stephen Jay Wyrick of Fort Hood Texas; mother, Betty B. Wyrick of the home; and his brother Robert, both of Greensboro.
Memorials were made to Carraway United Methodist Church, 1301 16th Street Greensboro, NC 27405.
We the family extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion they gave him.
Cause of death: As he was a very much troubled soul in life, complications from cirrhosis of the liver due to alcoholism took him away, and sadly we will never know why.
