Roy Eugene Bryant, 77, of 104 W. Matthews St., Stoneville, N.C., died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, N.C.

He was born in Eden on Feb. 14, 1931, to Roy Mason Bryant and Nannie Kate Meeks Bryant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mozelle Lester Bryant.

Bryant was an engineer for 50 years for Stoneville Furniture and was of the Baptist faith. He served with the Army during the Korean conflict.

Surviving are a son, Michael E. Bryant of Martinsville; a sister, Van Finney of Eden; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
