Thompson, 77, of 2011 East Thirty-fifth, died today at St. Luke's hospital after an illness of six months. He was born in Collins, Mo., and had lived here about 55 years. Before his retirement about 12 years ago, Mr. Thompson was an electrician. He was a member of local 124 [sic] of the electricians union, and was a member of the South Gate Masonic lodge. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Angie B. Thompson of the home; a son, J. Leon Thompson, Parkville; a sister, Mrs. Nola Crowder, Brownington, Mo.; a brother, Harvey Thompson, Deepwater, Mo., and two grandchildren." -Kansas City Star, 12-27-1958 p.15
