Service for Alton “Tuffy” Bennett, 80, of Grandview will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Sand Flat Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Odom Cemetery.

Alton “Tuffy” Bennett passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 in Grandview. He was born May 24, 1934 in Grandview to Henry Lee and Beryl Ellen Grant Bennett. He married Ruth La Nell Osburn on January 11, 1959 in Oklahoma.

Mr. Bennett served in the United States Army. He worked at Lockheed, retiring with more than 24 years of service. Tuffy loved football, woodworking, and doing things the hard way. He was a member of Sand Flat Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, La Nell Bennett; children, nine grand children; four great grand children and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and five brothers.
