Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. (EST) at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with Dr. Jerome King and the Rev. Wayne Elliott officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. (EST) at Moulton Memory Gardens in Moulton, Ala.
Mrs. Collins is survived by three sons, George Collins of Valley, James W. Collins of East Point, Mich., and Edward Collins of Dallas, Texas; and 16 grandchildren.
Mrs. Collins was born Feb. 28, 1914 in Jasper, Ark. Prior to the Rev. Hubert Collins' death, Mrs. Collins had been a pastor's wife for 59 years and had served with her husband in many churches. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Collins was the daughter of the late Fronia Ann Atkins Anderson and George Anderson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
