Mrs. Martha Jane Hedrick, 98, widow of J. Wesley Hedrick, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. I. Younts, High Point, Rt. 2, after an illness of severeal months.

She was born in Davidson County Jan 3, 1847, a daughter of Micajah and Holly Hunt [Hollen Whisenhunt] Wright. She was married to J. Wesley Hedrick, who preceded her in death, Jan. 21, 1931.

Surviving are three daughters – Mrs. O. L. Beck, of Thomasville, Mrs. P. I. Younts, High Point, Rt. 2 and Mrs. W. F. Luthre, Lenoir; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Lambeth, Culver, Kans, and Mrs. Lee Lambeth, Asheboro, Rt. 23 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hedrick was a member of First Evangelical and Reformed Church. Funeral services will be conducted there Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. Hoy L. Fesperman, former pastor, and interment will follow in the family plot in Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will remain at Sechrest Funeral home until shortly before 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, when it will be placed in the church to remain for an hour prior to the service.
