Ellis Louis Adams passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2014, in California.

He proudly dedicated his life to serving his country. He served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. His military career spanned for years. He began his military career serving in WWII as an Engineman aboard a radar ship in the Pacific; he then served as a United States Navy Master Chief for 26 years and ultimately worked with the Navy Seals in Vietnam. Ellis wanted to be remembered, as he will be for how he loved and served his country, his unwavering dedication to family and his generosity to others.

After retiring from the Navy in 1973, he worked with his brother Ralph Vernon Adams in California maintaining his semi-trucking business and on his racing pit crew. Ellis was extremely close to his brother and they shared many wonderful years and adventures together. Ellis was a lifetime member of Lucasville Masonic Lodge #465 and an honored member of the Oasis Veterans Club in Menifee, California.

Ellis is survived by his sister Peggy Adams, his brother and sister in law Ralph Vernon and Kathi Adams, his first wife Anna Hilliard Adams and their three children, Barbara, Deborah, Robert and his wife Peg, his grandchildren Ron Cooper and his wife Kerry, David Cooper and his wife Meg, Luke Adams and his wife Breanne, Dr. Katie Adams and one great grandchild Hannah Cooper who always made him smile and many cousins in the Portsmouth area.
