Gary Allen Dalton, 66, of Glasgow, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014.
He was a graduate of Cedar Grove High School. He was a former coal miner and former member of the UMWA. He was also a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and June Dalton; brother, Ira Dalton III; and his beloved canine companion, Precious.
Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Cooke Funeral Home, Cedar Grove. Entombment will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, with military graveside rites.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Cooke Funeral Home, Cedar Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
