Age 87, native of Bonnerdale AR, died Friday at the Montgomery County Nursing Home in Mount Ida AR; born to John and LouElla Carpenter Buck in the log house built by his grandfather; youngest of four; attended the one room Hawk schoolhouse; US NAVY veteran; worked at Reynolds Metals; rural letter carrier at Bonnerdale and Amity for thirty five years; member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.

Predeceased by parents, wife Bernice Walters whom he married August 25 1944, daughter Barbara Susan Farmer, brother Lessel Buck, and sister Clara Robbins.

Survivors include daughter Pamela (Bill) Vines, four grandchildren, four great grandchldren, sister Velma Louton, several brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, and extended family.

Graveside services with military honors on Sunday.
