Was named after her Aunt JANE Lipscomb as well as her great-grandmother Elizabeth JANE Alexander Lipscomb and great-grandmother JANE Steadman.

Goldie always worked very hard and was always taking care of other people. When her mother became unable to take care of her own household, she, her son Bus and her sister Jane all moved into the house with Goldie and her family and lived there until their death. This was very admirable on Goldie's part because this was a lot of responsibility to take on.
