William S. "Bill" Hynum died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at his home. He was 76.
Born in Pattison, Mr. Hynum had been a resident of Warren County most of his life. He was the son of the late Lura Burton Hynum and Myrtle Williams Hynum-Deaton. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Hynum was a machinist with LeTourneau, retiring with 30 years of service. He was an active member of Southside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda J. Hynum; five daughters, Debbie Emery (Louis), Tammy Chapin (Joe Don), Patti Gordon (Richard), Robin Moore (Kevin) and Billie Jo Wagner (Mark); two sons, Marc Hynum (Jenny) and David Porter Jr. (Norma); 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Hynum and George Deaton; and a brother in Christ, Jerome Pellegal.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Herbert "Lard" Hynum and Roy Deaton; and his stepfather, Burrell Deaton.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Southside Baptist Church with Brother Greg Clemts, pastor, officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday at Southside Baptist Church until the service. Burial will be at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson, under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
