Clayton. Dec 28 Miss Bessie V Allen, aged 79 years, formerly of this village, died at her home at Adams late last night. Miss Allen moved to Adams about eight months ago. after having lived at Clayton practically all of her life She was formerly a school teacher and was well known in this section.
Miss Allen was born in the town of Clayton, June 17. 1848 a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Allen. She Is survived by three brothers Waller and Riley of Clayton, and Melver of Cleveland, Ohio. Funeral services will be held from the residence of her brother, Walter Allen. this village, on Friday afternoon at 2, Rev. Mr. Adams, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating Interment will be made at Clayton.
