Franklin J. FITZE, Westboro, Dies
Franklin John FITZE, 80, Westboro pioneer, died at his home at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 p.m. and at the Westboro Methodist church at 2 p.m. Monday.
Mr. FITZE's son in law, Rev. Theo. J. REYKDAL, pastor of the Trinity church, Milwaukee, and his grandson, Rev. Lowell REYKDAL, pastor of the Methodist church of Manawa, and Rev. A. LANGENDORFF officiated at the services. Interment was in the Northside cemetery, Westboro.
Mr. FITZE was born Aug. 25, 1858 at Mt. Pleasant, Penn. He moved with his parents to Westboro in 1869. He married Nellie THRESHER at Schofield Nov. 28, 1889.
They have made their home at Westboro with the exception of ten years when they resided at Stoughton.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Harry of Tomahawk; two daughters, Mrs. Theo. REYKDAL and Mrs. Oscar HOLTAN, both of Milwaukee; and ten grandchildren. He leaves also one sister, Mrs. Elmer CAMPBELL of Westboro; and three brothers, Fred of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, Edward of Beloit and Howard of Almond.
