She was born in Alma, Ga. She owned and operated the Siesta Restaurant and Plantation Restaurant for many years. She worked at Calvary Christian Academy and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: a son, David C. Allen of Ridgeland; three daughters, Karen A. Smith of Moncks Corner, Kelia A. Head of Okatie and Kimberly A. Nettles of Ridgeland; a brother, Henry Elma Smith of Dublin, Ga.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
