Mary Magdalene Clardy Austin, 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the family residence.
She was a member of West Cleveland Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Lum Clardy and Bonnie Hawkins Clardy. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Coffman; brothers and sisters: Emmaline Loggins, Ovan Clardy, William Clardy, Margaret Kessel, Sham Clardy, Anna Belle Clardy and Clarence Clardy.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Austin of Cleveland; children: Ann Ledford and husband, Mike, of Cleveland, Denise Johnson and husband, Randall, of Hartsell, Ala. and Holly Watson and husband, David, of Doncaster, England; sister, Flora McMunn of Decatur, Ala.; grandchildren: Kelli Cowart, Stephanie McCluskey and Calwyn Watson; great-grandchildren: Stephen Grantland, Austin Grantland, Paisley Coffman, Hunter Hill, and Karsen McCluskey; great-great-grandchildren: Zayden Grantland and "soon to arrive" Brayson Grantland; and special children: Logan King, Thad Stedman and Allie Stedman; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at West Cleveland Baptist Church with Pastor Jesse Crane officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. this evening at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
