AUBURN — ESTIL E. TAYLOR 89, formerly of St. Joe, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn.
He was born on July 13, 1920, in Cecil, Ohio, to Harry and Mary (Loomis) Taylor. Estil served in the Army during World War II. He worked for 14 years at Rieke Corp. and for 19 years at Partee Co. He married Thelma Easterday on Sept. 22, 1941, in Auburn; she preceded in death on Sept. 5, 1991. Estil was a member of the Auburn American Legion and the Butler Eagles.
Survivors include a son of South Carolina; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Sandy Taylor.
Services for Estil E. Taylor will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at H. E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Butler. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Newville.
