Euvelda "Eva" Pickens, 55, of Piedmont, Ohio, died Tuesday morning December 15, 1981 at Wheeling West Virginia Medical Park Hospital.
Eva was born January 1, 1926 in rural Stigler, Oklahoma, to Lowry and Alta (Christy) Taylor. At the age of 14, Eva moved with her family to California during the Great Dust Bowl Depression.
Eva married Bill Becker; they divorced.
Eva married Joseph H. Puskas June 26, 1960. Joe died June 15, 1973 in Los Angeles. They had one daughter, Suzie.
Eva married LeRoy Pickens in 1974 and along with Suzie, they moved to Piedmont, Ohio.
Eva owned a beauty shop in California until she moved to Ohio and opened up another shop in Piedmont.
At the time of her death, Eva was survived by her husband, LeRoy, Piedmont; her daughter Suzanne "Suzie" Puskas, Piedmont; a brother, Vearl (Ethel) Taylor, Hesperia, CA; and a sister, Christeva (Leonard) Balken, Fergus Falls, MN; three nieces and two nephews.
Friends are being received at the Warren Funeral Home, Flushing, Ohio, until 9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 7 PM with the Reverand Paul Hamilton officiating. Burial will be at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, CA.
