Mr. Manning was born in Senatobia and had been a resident of Ocean Springs for the past 25 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired as a Master Sergeant from the Air Force with 28 years of service. He served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding. He was a member of the Ocean Springs Masonic Lodge and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and three sisters.
