Funeral services for Mrs. Pervious P. "Granny" Hammock, age 93 of Bloomington Springs, will be held on Sunday November 9, 2014 at 2:00PM from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Doyle Wilmoth officiating. Burial will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 11:00AM-9:00PM and Sunday from 10:00AM until time of service at 2:00PM.

Mrs. Hammock was born on June 8, 1921 in Jackson County, TN to the late John and Pearlie (Pippin) Clinton. Mrs. Hammock passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Bloomington Springs Church of Christ. She was a well loved member of the Bloomington Springs Community and was always ready to help a friend in need. Everyone was welcomed in her home and her heart. She worked for many years at the Deberry Academy for Boys and C & M Clothing. After her retirement, she spent her time gardening, reading her Bible, and visiting with her friends and her family. She imparted her love and wisdom to five generations of her children. Her life and her love for God was a shining example for all to follow. Her family was her greatest joy, especially the little ones. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived her Children and Spouses: Eugene Hammock; Dorthy & Clifford Young of Cookeville; Bobby Joe & Faye Hammock of Baxter. Her Grandchildren and Spouses: Vicky & Russell Swafford of Cookeville; Ricky & Debbie Young, & Bobbie Faye & Josh Maynard of Baxter. Her Great-Grandchildren: Erika Young of Cookeville; Abigail, Emma, & Claire Maynard of Baxter. And Great-Great-Grandchild: Bristol Ballard of Cookeville. Her Sister: Lorene Spann of Hendersonville. And a host of Nieces, Nephews, and wonderful friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Cordell Hammock; Brothers: T. Pippin, Hubert and Hollis Pippin; and Sisters: Belva Haney and Mavis Garrison.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
