He was originally intered in France, on the ballet field at Seringes-etNesles, Aisne, France, But was reentered at Arlington Cemetery pn June, 8, 1922 Sec. White Erp. # 4446

The life of William Stanley Hazzare (the paper misspelled his first name) was one of service and sacrifice for others. It was not a long life, but one filled with honor, good and noble deeds. Early in life he gave his heart to God, he was a member of Coan Baptist Church, where he was ever at his post of duty, in Sunday School and church work, by occupation he was a farmer, having taken charge of his father's farm when only a boy, at that time the farm was very poor, and the building in bad condition. With no capitol but by hard work, economy and good management he made the farm a good one, and built a new dwelling. Stanley was one of the few young men who in all things was a pattern of good works. He was not very widely known, spending nearly all his life on the farm but none knew him but to love and admire him. What more could be said, a life spent in loyal devotion to Christ, to home to loved ones, to family, and then gave his life for other. He was instantly killed by Machine Gun, while bravely charging the German army in France, on the 28st, of July 1918, and was laid to rest on the battlefield on the 2nd day of August. We can hardly realize that he is gone, while we shall see his face no more, his life will ever live in our memory and hearts.
